ELEMENTORS is a strategy indie game in early access on PC that blends creature merging with autobattler mechanics. Players build teams where each unit advances two separate synergy systems at once, creating layered decisions around creature types and elemental affinities. The core loop revolves around pre-run preparation, rolling for elements each round, permanent upgrades, and cascading merges on a compact board to survive escalating encounters.
Gameplay
The foundation rests on orthogonal synergies. Thirteen creature types such as Beast, Dragon, and Insect combine with thirteen elements including Fire, Ice, and Shadow. Every unit therefore supports one type synergy and one element synergy simultaneously, allowing the same Dragon to contribute to different builds across runs. This design encourages experimentation without locking players into rigid archetypes.
Element economy begins with a custom d12. Players select eight faces before a run, with four faces rolled randomly. Each round grants two free rolls that can be stashed and applied later. Infusing an element onto a creature makes the change permanent, turning a plain Beast into a Fire Beast for the remainder of the run. Timing these infusions requires weighing immediate tempo against saving resources for higher-value units later.
Positioning occurs on a six-slot hex board divided into front, mid, and back rows that influence combat effectiveness. Three identical units merge automatically into a two-star version, and three two-star units merge into a three-star version. A single purchase can trigger multiple merges in sequence. Type synergies reward heavy investment in merges, while element synergies reward flexible drafting across many units. Boss encounters drop items that allow mid-run adjustments to the d12, such as reforging faces, duplicating strong elements, rerolling random ones, or adding a Wild Face that adapts to any element.
Game Modes
Standard play consists of thirty-round runs against escalating PvE opposition. Early rounds feature basic creeps, while later stages introduce mini-bosses and mid-bosses that guarantee item drops. Team snapshots appear as optional challenges to outbuild. Victory unlocks endless mode, where players continue until their trainer is defeated. Fights resolve quickly without manual unit control or prolonged stalemates.
The structure emphasizes single-player progression through repeated runs. Each attempt tests different dice builds and synergy combinations against the same core gauntlet of opponents. Endless mode extends successful runs into longer sessions focused on sustained scaling rather than a fixed endpoint.
Is It Worth Playing?
ELEMENTORS targets players who enjoy strategic depth in compact sessions. The permanent infusion system and dual synergy axes create meaningful choices that carry through an entire run. Those who prefer deliberate planning over fast reflexes will find the dice-building and merge cascades rewarding. The game remains in early access with a planned full release in Q4 2026, so the experience centers on the systems described rather than additional content layers.
Reception data is not yet available because the title has not launched. Prospective players should consider whether the merge-autobattler format and irreversible decisions align with their preferences for strategy games. The compact board and fast combat resolution suit shorter play sessions while still supporting extended endless runs after victory.
