An inventory system lets players carry weapons, cards, and other supplies, while a fog-of-war minimap helps track explored areas without revealing the full map at once. Rounds conclude when the on-site nuclear warhead is either detonated or successfully defended, after which the map regenerates and roles are reassigned automatically.
Interactive rooms scattered throughout the facility include SCP-914 for item upgrades, armories for gear, and elevators that connect the different levels. Dynamic events can trigger mid-round, introducing new hazards or encounters that alter the flow of play. Corpses remain visible and can be interacted with, contributing to the tense atmosphere as players move through the four main zones plus hidden special areas.

The game operates entirely on a single round-based format that resets the map and shuffles player roles at the end of each match. Chaos Insurgency members enter from the surface via elevator-A with the goal of disrupting operations and targeting Foundation staff. SCP anomalies grant players control of sentient entities that possess unique abilities, allowing them to break containment, eliminate humans, and interfere with the warhead detonation. Each faction plays with distinct movement, abilities, and win conditions that encourage different strategies within the same shared map.
