A world you can shape, together
Loamward is an online sandbox about working the land. There are no classes and no levels to chase: you get better at what you do, one dig, one swing, one stitch at a time. Every hill can be lowered, every hollow filled. What you build stays, and so does what your neighbors build beside you.Shape the ground itself. Dig loam and clay, raise and flatten corners, level a plot for a house, till fields, pave roads in cobbles and flagstones. Tunnel into the hills and mine veins of iron, copper, coal and rarer things, deep under the surface.
Make everything by hand. Fell trees and saw boards, smith heads and blades at the anvil, fire pottery in the forge, weave rope, tan leather, brew and bake. Quality matters: every item has its own, and skilled hands make better things and improve them further.
Build and settle. Plan a house wall by wall, in timber, log or stone, with stairs, roofs and doors that swing. Found a settlement, invite your neighbors, set who may build or dig, keep its coffer full, hire guards and a trader.
Live off the land. Forage berries and herbs, fish rivers and ponds, grow crops through the seasons, win an animal's trust, breed your herd, ride out on horseback. Hunger, thirst and the weather all count.
A world that goes on. Day turns to night, seasons turn by the real calendar, trees seed and grow, snow lies in winter. Wolves and bears roam the wild; settlement guards keep the peace at home.
Start on Firstfurrow Isle. A short guided course teaches the basics before you cross to the mainland.
