STICKSHOT: Comic War is a first-person shooter built around stick figures rendered in a bold comic book style. Thick ink lines, neon colors and ragdoll physics define every encounter on PC. The game blends rapid movement with heavy emphasis on environmental destruction and three distinct ways to play, all while keeping matches accessible through bot-filled lobbies.
Gameplay
Combat centers on a selection of firearms that includes pistols, revolvers, SMGs, shotguns, rifles, snipers, miniguns, rocket launchers and a plasma gun. Every player also carries a knife. Grenades come in frag, smoke, flash and molotov varieties. Hit zones, bullet penetration and realistic ragdolls govern how enemies react when struck, with optional blood and gore settings available.
Destruction forms a core loop. Shooting out lamps darkens rooms, alarms can be triggered, water pipes burst and pictures or tools fall from walls. Glass shatters, doors blow off hinges and bullets create holes in thin surfaces. Larger calibers remove chunks of brick while explosives collapse floors, stairs, balconies and roofs. Debris and dust remain in place after the event.
Weapons feel responsive across keyboard, mouse and controller inputs. The title targets 144-plus frames per second performance even when large maps, bots and full destruction are active simultaneously. Voice chat supports push-to-talk or open mic, with text chat options and player muting or reporting tools included.
Game Modes
Battle Royale takes place on STICK ISLAND, a 1.2 kilometer map featuring mountains, rivers, a harbor, museum hill, neon market, prison rock and additional locations. Up to 60 players compete in Solo, Duo or Squad formats, with bots filling any empty slots. Players parachute from a plane, loot glowing floor items by rarity, manage a shrinking safe zone and open supply crates or rival death boxes. Knocked players can crawl and receive revives from teammates. A post-round stats screen tracks kills, placement, damage, survival time and loot collected.
Tactical 5v5 focuses on planting or defusing a bomb across 12 hand-built maps such as Neon Market, Stickworks, Bank Heist, Abandoned Factory, Metro Station, Hotel Blackout, Warehouse 47, Military Base, Museum, Construction Site, Underground Lab and Prison. Economy systems govern buy menus for weapons and utilities including smokes, flashes and frags. Wallbangs and headshots matter, while the kill feed records notable actions like no-scopes or airborne eliminations.
A single-player Campaign offers 10 missions that progress from an office tower to a final boss encounter. Three additional arenas appear throughout. Enemies flank, take cover and call for reinforcements during these sequences.
Progression and Customization
Cosmetics remain strictly cosmetic. Players earn coins through regular play and use them on a Lucky Spin or weekly crate for weapon, character and knife skins. Butterfly, Bayonet and Karambit variants appear among the options. No real-money purchases affect gameplay balance or stats.
Public matchmaking supports both Battle Royale and 5v5 modes with bots ensuring quick starts. All chat is available in 5v5 alongside team voice options. Steam word filters apply automatically.
Is It Worth Playing?
STICKSHOT: Comic War suits players who enjoy fast first-person shooters that combine battle royale scale with tactical bomb defusal and a compact campaign. The comic art direction and persistent destruction set it apart from standard entries in the genre. Early Access status means the experience focuses on core loops of looting, shooting and environmental interaction rather than polished seasonal content. Those drawn to responsive gunplay, squad coordination and visual feedback from breaking the world will find consistent engagement across its modes. The absence of paid power advantages keeps competition centered on skill and positioning.
