η ΄ιηι is an online cooperative horror game in the action, indie, and adventure genres, available on PC. Players take on the roles of discarded robots scavenging through a snow-buried New York in 1985, racing to collect valuable parts while avoiding aggressive recycling machines that aim to dismantle them.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on nighttime scavenging runs across streets buried under heavy snow. Teams dig carefully to uncover discarded appliances like televisions, refrigerators, and radios, with outcomes depending on chance. Found items are hauled back to a shared van using a head-mounted traction beam. Scratches or damage to recovered goods reduce earnings, so careful handling matters during transport.
The van serves as the central hub for the group. Players drive it between locations, perform repairs and upgrades, and use it as a mobile base for safety. Every evening requires settling payments with the recycling truck before relocating to avoid pursuit. Prolonged exposure outside leads to freezing, which slows movement or halts it entirely. The van offers heating, while robots can expend their own power reserves in emergencies to warm teammates.
Damage from encounters removes random parts from a robot's body, such as eyes, arms, legs, or insulation panels. Teammates must retrieve fallen remains and return them to a surgery pod inside the van for reassembly. The pod also allows swapping in attachments hidden in the snow, including night-vision eyes, drill arms, or rocket boots, granting new capabilities or enabling part donations to others in need. Voice chat and light sources attract pursuers, adding tension to group coordination.
Game Modes
The experience focuses on cooperative sessions supporting up to six players working together in the same scavenging and survival scenario. Groups share the van, coordinate digs, manage repairs, and evade threats as a unit. No separate single-player or competitive modes appear in available details, emphasizing teamwork across repeated nightly runs that build toward safer evacuations and shop upgrades.
Progression and Upgrades
Successful nights yield funds for purchasing weapons, tools, and van improvements at the shop. These purchases enhance reliability during future outings and provide better defenses against pursuers. Part swaps and custom builds encourage experimentation with different robot configurations suited to the group's needs.
Is It Worth Playing?
With no user reviews available yet and the game listed as coming soon, reception remains unconfirmed. The described systems offer a distinctive mix of cooperative scavenging, resource management, and light horror elements through pursuit mechanics and environmental hazards. It suits players who enjoy group-based survival tasks, vehicle customization, and tense coordination in a compact session format. Those interested in indie co-op experiences with unique robot disassembly and repair loops may find it appealing once released, particularly if they value luck-based discovery alongside careful teamwork.
