MAGIC & MONSTERS is a roguelite bullet-heaven action RPG developed for PC that combines fast-paced combat with equipment customization and procedural exploration. Gameplay
The core loop centers on selecting and combining items across six equipment slots from a pool of more than ten weapons and spells. Game Modes
Three distinct modes are available in the Early Access build. Shooting Mode functions as a 2D shooting RPG where players advance through a series of stages by defeating large groups of enemies. The current version features six stages, approximately eighty enemy types, more than twenty weapons and spells, and five boss types. Monster Shogi Mode is a turn-based board game against a computer opponent that uses modified shogi rules with custom pieces and combat mechanics. Pinball Mode is a score-based battle against a computer opponent in which both sides launch pinballs to achieve the highest score. All three modes are fully playable from start to finish in the current build.
Progression and Content
Players customize loadouts and discover preferred weapons and spells through repeated play. The game includes more than one hundred unique monsters and powerful bosses across its content. Early Access focuses on refining balance, controls, difficulty, and progression while adding new enemies, items, and stages based on feedback. The build supports single-player sessions with an option for online PvP listed among its features.

The game targets players who enjoy roguelite action with equipment mixing and multiple gameplay styles in one package. Its Early Access version provides a complete loop through the three modes, with plans for further content additions over an approximate two-month period.
