Convoy Inc. is a strategy and simulation game that puts players in charge of building and managing a freight company across a detailed map of the real world. The experience centers on logistics management, where decisions about routes, vehicles, drivers, and business expansion shape the growth of a single enterprise from modest beginnings into a global operation.
Gameplay
Players begin with one truck, one driver, a company name, and a logo. Hauls take place on a watercolor-style representation of the actual world that includes thousands of real cities and road networks across 207 countries. Ferries connect islands, while landmarks such as the Øresund Bridge and the Bosphorus appear alongside changing city skylines that reflect the chosen era. Reputation gained from successful deliveries gradually opens access from the home country to neighboring regions, an entire continent, and eventually worldwide routes.
Three starting eras are available: 1980 with analog instruments, 2000 with GPS-equipped fleets, or 2030 featuring electric and hydrogen trucks. Twenty-two fictional manufacturers supply vehicles whose models and pricing adjust over time. A newspaper of 33 fictional headlines influences fuel costs, cargo demand, and driver wages in each era. Every job displays exact pay, estimated duration including required rest breaks, current weather, roadworks, and percentage-based risk factors. Live weather affects the specific road a truck travels, ranging from rain and storms to snow, blizzards, and heatwaves. Delivery reports break down accidents, breakdowns, traffic delays, fines, and any cargo damage.
Drivers number around 2,500 illustrated portraits drawn from 28 regional sets. They can be hired, paid, trained, and specialized in areas such as Fragile cargo, Cold Chain, Heavy Haul, Oversized loads, or Hazardous materials under ADR regulations. European Union driving-hour rules apply, though players decide whether to push toward a destination when only minutes remain. Clicking any truck opens a live view showing day or night conditions, speedometer, fuel or battery level, tachograph disc, delivery timer, and load status. Expansion involves opening branches, constructing garages, repair shops, and driver quarters. Yearly contracts can be won and their rates negotiated. Rival companies may launch price wars or go bankrupt, creating opportunities for acquisition. Weekly operating costs, loans, and the possibility of financial collapse add pressure to long-term planning.
Game Modes
Four difficulty settings shape the challenge. Easy, Normal, and Hard adjust the intensity of financial and operational demands, while Ironman removes the ability to reload earlier saves for a stricter single-run experience. A guided first tour introduces core systems, and a calendar with reminders helps track contracts and maintenance. The interface supports dockable windows, scaling up to 4K resolution, and fully rebindable keyboard shortcuts. The game is available in English and Turkish.
Business Management and Risks
Core progression revolves around balancing income from deliveries against ongoing expenses. Reputation unlocks new territories, while driver specialization improves performance on specific cargo types. Real-world road features such as bridges and tunnels influence routing choices. Weather and roadworks appear dynamically on active hauls, and itemized reports provide clear feedback on every trip. Rival firms introduce competitive pressure through price competition or sudden bankruptcies that players can exploit. No microtransactions appear in the game, keeping all progression tied to in-game company performance.
Is It Worth Playing?
Convoy Inc. suits players who enjoy methodical strategy and simulation titles focused on logistics, resource allocation, and long-term company building. The combination of real-world geography, era-specific vehicles, and detailed driver and risk management creates a distinctive single-player experience. Those who appreciate careful planning, live monitoring of assets, and the consequences of financial decisions will find substantial depth. The absence of microtransactions and the presence of multiple difficulty options, including a permadeath-style Ironman mode, further support focused play sessions without external distractions.
