Chess brings classic play, interactive lessons, and game replays into a clean, welcoming desktop chess room. Learn your first moves or take your time studying a memorable game.
Play your way
- Practice against four computer levels or take turns with a friend on the same computer.
- Choose White or Black, with untimed, 10+0, 15+10, and 30+0 time controls.
- Play with castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate, and draw detection.
- Undo moves and flip the board in local play. Resume an unfinished local game, review completed games, and export them as PGN.

Eight teaching units cover board coordinates, piece movement, special moves, check and game endings, basic tactics, opening principles, elementary endgames, and full-game review. Interactive exercises invite you to make the move on the board.

Find your favorite chess room
Keep the light default theme or choose from eight illustrated rooms and four animated seasonal backgrounds. Adjust music, ambient audio, and sound effects separately, with a reduced-motion mode also available.
Language and access notes
The main interface offers multiple language choices. Chess lessons and game commentary are available in Simplified Chinese and English; some content uses English when another interface language is selected. Local play and lessons do not require an online account.
