Combat actions are determined by both character skills and equipped gear. For example, wielding the Staff of Ice unlocks the spells Ice Bolt and Freeze for use in battle.
Character progression: Defeat enemies and complete tasks to earn XP, level up your party, increase your stats, and unlock new class-specific skills at milestone levels.
Campsite content:Â At the campsite you can interact with your female companions. When you progress through the game, new companion content will become available.

Characters
The protagonist is a 19-year-old human male, forced into slave labor in an orc prison camp for the last three years. That, however, is about to change. Physically formidable, the protagonist excels with melee weapons, heavy shields, and plate armor. In battle, he acts as the ultimate shield – drawing enemy aggro to himself to keep his lightly armored party members safe.
Elowen is a beautiful, green-haired elf who shares the protagonist's grim fate of spending the past three years in the orc prison camp. Outgoing and warm, she gets along with almost everyone – with the sole exception of her younger sister, Lia. While Elowen is a herbalist by trade, she is more than capable of handling a bow and coating her arrows in deadly poison when danger strikes.
Lia is a stunning elf distinguished by her long white hair and deep blue eyes. In stark contrast to her older sister Elowen, Lia is silent and reclusive, never having uttered a single word to a human before meeting the protagonist. As a practitioner of white magic, she serves as the party's dedicated healer, using her restorative spells to keep everyone alive in the heat of battle.
Ruby is a mysterious, yet beautiful, 20-year-old dark-haired human. As a former thief and outlaw, she moves unseen in the shadows and can pick any lock, whether on a chest or a door. When combat begins, she dual-wields daggers to deliver deadly strikes to her unsuspecting targets.
Lucy is a pretty, 19-year-old blonde human. As children, she and the protagonist were inseparable, until circumstances forced them apart. Yet destiny is bound to bring them together once more. On the battlefield, this former witch's apprentice inflicts negative status effects on enemies and uses her allure to charm them.
