Create and control your very own digital hero, or "Net Knight"! These Knights are specially programmed to securely transfer data, delete MalWare, and virtually assist their operators (you the player). Knights reside inside their own custom homepages, and travel various networks to complete tasks, battle viruses and other Knights, and upgrade their own power levels, to better assist their operators.
Lately however, some networks have reported unusual MalWare activity, new forms of viruses, and unexplained outages. Your Net Knight will need to overcome these cycle-to-cycle challenges while assisting friends against digital punks, NFT scams, out-of-control forum moderators, hackers, and even more devious schemes that could threaten the very fabric of the Net!
Net Knight features grid-based combat that should be familiar to MMBN fans. Use your trusty VarShot and VarTool to chip away enemy health, then finish them off with powerful BattleWare card combos!
Explore a mix of hand-crafted and procedurally generated levels! Net Knight allows players to venture into the InterNet like never before, with levels automatically created based on website data. Color scheme, layout, NPCs, and enemies all change depending on the website that is currently being "browsed". Links to other websites are represented as in-game warps that allow the player to traverse the entire Net without limits!
Players can customize many aspects of their Knight, with over 80,000,000 unique combinations! WearWare outfit options include separate choices for Boots, Gloves, Suits, Backpieces, Helmet, Visor, and Custom headpiece. In addition, each Knight's face and eyes can be personalized!
Players can also upgrade their Knight via CustWare. Select your VarShot, VarTool, Armor, and Boots loadout. Choose your elemental strengths and weaknesses. Finally, assign your MemSlots to various upgrade options that increase your offense, defense, speed, or general utility! As you level up and explore, you'll unlock more CustWare options and upgrades!
Collect cards by defeating enemies, purchasing from shopkeepers, trading with other Knights, or acquiring from treasure data. Select cards from your Library to form your Battle Deck, which will be randomly shuffled and drawn from during battle. Create a deck with similar code synergy, complimentary elements, defensive utility, or overwhelming offense. The choice is yours!
