Your owner lost everything to a pachinko obsession and finally pledged his soul to a demon. The demon granted him one last chance, but refused to let him operate the machine. Now only a cat can save him.
Launch Every Ball Yourself
At the start of each round, the contract machine rolls an integer multiplier and lights several winning slots among the twelve slots at the bottom of the board. Commit your wager, pull the mechanical launcher, and control the strength of the shot. The main ball travels through one continuous track, enters the pin field, and bounces toward its final slot under real-time physics.
There is no direct aiming at a winning slot and no hidden force steering the ball toward a preferred result. Every collision, rebound, and landing is determined by the visible machine and its current physical state.
See the Risk Before You Commit
The multiplier and winning slots are revealed before launch. You may invest additional wager marbles to raise your wager tier, effective wager value, and potential payout, but every marble placed into the machine is permanent.
Preserve your resources with cautious wagers, or take a greater risk when a rare multiplier appears and pursue a payout large enough to clear the contract target.
Turn Every Collision Into Value
Each collision with a pin generates score. When the same ball strikes the same pin repeatedly, its value rises from +1 to +2, +3, and beyond. Even a ball that misses every winning slot can still earn a small amount from the collisions it creates on the way down.
Landing in a winning slot grants a much larger payout based on the round multiplier, committed wager, and current wager tier. A win also returns wager resources and dispenses score cards used to build new abilities.
Trade Score Cards With the Demon
After a win, the machine dispenses physical score cards. Turn away from the machine and hand them to the demon waiting behind you. The demon reveals three upgrade cards. Choose one for the current run; the other two are taken back or burned.
Upgrade cards can change the following rules:
- Multiplier probabilities and guaranteed minimum results
- The number and selection rules of winning slots
- Wager tiers and effective wager multipliers
- Score generated by collisions in the pin field
- The creation and payout rules of temporary clone balls
- Insurance and resource recovery after a missed launch
- Score card income and the cost of demon trades
- Temporary machine modifications that last for a limited number of rounds
Build around massive high-multiplier wagers, collision-scoring clones, score card economy, defensive insurance, winning-slot rules, or temporary changes to the board.
Change the Rules, Not the Result
Upgrades can modify probability, rewards, and visible physical properties, but they cannot directly place a ball into a winning slot. Some effects create temporary clones, adjust ball mass or bounce, or remove ordinary pins for several rounds to form new physical paths through the machine.
The strongest effects may demand larger wagers, reduce your margin for error, or make later contract targets more severe. As your build grows stronger, the demon's terms may become more dangerous.
Save Your Owner Before the Contract Expires
Each contract tier has an escalating money target and a limited number of rounds. When those rounds are exhausted, the demon checks your current funds. Meet the target to carry your surplus into the next contract tier. Fall short and the demon takes your owner's soul.
Reach the final target, burn the contract, and save your owner. Otherwise, watch the machine's lights go dark.
