Players embody the last drop of his ink and encounter twelve great spirits, including the Drumming Tanuki and Yamata no Orochi with its eight heads, plus a final Shadow of the Brush encounter. Each spirit delivers a haiku and reveals a painted memory of the painter's life. Choices about what to learn determine whether the last circle closes or stays open, shaping the ending.
