I am sure that playing the same game with the same character may become very boring, same as seeing the same faces every day.
With those 100 characters you can change the main player every day and will not get bored or use them as NPC and make really cool scenes with different alien nations and civilizations.
All content of this DLC will be available directly from the game, in the menu where you are adding the NPC or change primary characters. You can use any one of them as NPC or as a primary character.
